One night in Bangkok…

Though to be honest, it makes me think more of one night in Trader Vic’s, the original tiki lounge, a theme restaurant ahead of it’s time…but the collection is called Bangkok, and I love the song, so…
Since I already took the brand in vain, however complimentary I was to his adorable collection for Target, the least I could do was to share a purse from the Rafe not for Target line.

I am in love with the vintagey feel of this Bangkok Morgan Frame clutch.

It’s not the first bag to use printed textiles, but so few really work this well, especially with an over sized print…and big florals are the huge thing for Spring. And it’s not just the use of the print. The stained wooden frame, the linen like texture of the fabric, the fabulous shell and mother of pearl buttons sewn on as accent…this really looks like something you might have picked up at a flea market, but with a modern touch. A perfect “grab it” bag for Summer evenings to go with a little dress, or jeans and flip flops.
If the brown and orange palette isn’t to your liking, it comes in a brighter, sharp black and red version too (I still like the orange, myself)

While it is a small bag, as most clutches are, the inside is laid out for organization. There is a zip pocket, as well as 4 slots for credit cards or a thin phone, keeping them put and out of the main compartment jumble.
The Bangkok Morgan Frame Clutch, in either color (or both if you′re compulsive…) is $245 from Rafe.
