Teens Expected to Donate Jeans for Homeless Teens : Aeropostale News

Teens are cleaning their closets — and it’s not because their mom asked them to do it. NYC-based teen retailer Aeropostale (NYSE: ARO) and teen not-for-profit DoSomething.org announced their second annual Teens for Jeans campaign today. The campaign aims to raise awareness on the growing number of homeless teens in the United States and Canada by empowering teens nationwide to collect jeans for homeless youth.

Key Note defines this market as clothing, footwear and accessories for male and female consumers between the ages of 13 and 24. This is quite a long age span, but Key Note takes the view that the so-called `teenage’ years have somewhat expanded, particularly at the lower end of the spectrum, since this report was last written in 2000 (when the market was defined as those aged 15 to 24).

Delta Apparel Announces the Closing of its Fayetteville, NC Textile Operation

Delta Apparel, Inc. (NYSE Alternext US: DLA) today announced its plans to close its textile manufacturing facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In continuing the Company’s manufacturing improvement strategy, the Company is consolidating the textile production for its M. J. Soffe business, currently produced in the Fayetteville, North Carolina facility, into its operations in Maiden, North Carolina and its Ceiba Textiles facility in Honduras.
