A feeling from a building

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Today I did something unconventional walking from school, I went towards Times Square. I usually try to avoid the choatic Times Square just because there are too many tourist and people forcing me to buy something. However as I waking down 42nd street towards Broadway I slowly and I do mean slowly strolled by the infamous Conde Nast Building. I literally wanted to stay in front of the building like a paparazzi and take pictures of any editrix that just might step out if those glass doors.

Instead I took a deep breathe and looked up at the building wondering which magazine are on what floor. However I did get the feeling that was remindful of the same feeling I had when I was in the 8th grade looking at a high school I so badly wanted to get in and be a part of, this high school had everything I loved dance, drama, music basically the school was about the arts. Well basically to sum it up I didn’t get into the school and that was my first taste of rejection and boy was it bitter.

Slowly strolling past the Conde Nast building I recieved that same feeling it was a bit eerie and weird though, that feeling of wanting to be a apart of, I guess one day it will happen, I guess.

You all can check out the pics I took at Time Square:

Tough clutch

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

No mistaking, the clutch is hot. But what a clutch lacks more often than not is an edge. They’re just too small and dainty…what’s a girl who is used to a bag with heft to do?

Thanks to the chic hoodie designing husband and wife team Mike and Chris there is an answer! The Bogart clutch manages to be small enough to fit in your hand, but substantial enough to make a big bag girl feel secure. The antiqued leather pouch may be small, but the hardware is full size…with a big zipper, large brass rings, and hefty clips holding a removable wrist strap in place.
Now, if only someone could make a bottomless clutch, to hold all the things I need to carry with me everywhere…
The Bogart clutch is available for $297 from one of my favorite stores, Big Drop NYC.

Great Craftmanship at the Met

Friday, May 11th, 2007

The Costume Institute Gala is the best event not neccesarily for the arrival of the celebrities but to see these really gorgeous gown and the craftmanship up close . It also good to see these gown filled with women of different shapes and sizes. However my favorite of all the gowns that were worn at the Gala have to be the Zac Posen purple gown worn by Lucy Liu. The train of dress is absolutely lovely with the rose embrodies and the color purple is magnificent.

Model Casting Call for Sean John

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

When I was walking from class I noticed a long line of men standing near the Sean John store, when I asked one guy standing in line he said this is a casting call for Sean John. So I thought it would be perfect to capture the moment of these men standing in line and asking a few of them some questions about modeling. Please check out the video below.

Marc Jacobs inspired pants at H&M

Monday, May 7th, 2007

As I was going doing my weekly run through of H&M I came upon these gray pants that looked similar to what Marc Jacobs had on his Spring 2007 runway.

I had to take the photos with my camera phone to be less discreet

Marc Jacob’s Spring 2007 runway show

Well okay the pants are not that similar but definitely the inspiration came from Marc Jacobs, just like many of H&M clothes.
