Fendi Selleria Hobo Shoulder Bag
Do you ever have those days where you to not see the light of day, as in you do not leave your house? Not because you are sick or can’t, you just choose not to. Yesterday was one of those days for me. I did, however, force myself to get out […]

Fendi Denim Spy Bag

Fendi Denim Spy Bag
The Fendi Spy bag was once one of the biggest “it” bags of it bag history. Remember the days of it bagdom? I do. Those days have come and gone, for the most part, and now handbags are sought after that have stay power rather than float our boat for 2 weeks. […]

Fendi Maxi Baguette Shoulder Bag

Fendi Maxi Baguette Shoulder Bag
Fendi, you’ve got me a bit vexed. Actually, you’ve had me a bit vexed for several years now. Why is that? Mostly because you continue to commit attrocious crimes against handbags, sell them for exhorbitant sums, and yet not go completely out of business. I’ll admit, I […]

Katie Holmes Fendi Snakeskin F3 Secret Code Bag

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

The new bag of choice for Katie Holmes? Well it is an interesting Fendi number that can clearly be loved or hated quite easily. Katie Holmes was spotted out sporting a funky cross-body bag, the Fendi Snakeskin F3 Secret Code Bag. If the bag looks familiar, it is because Shannon covered the Fendi Stamped […]

Fendi vs Miu Miu

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

I figured we could continue the battle of the similar designs from Friday. Why not right? The Fendi Spy Bag became a huge hit, in fact was one of the bags that catapulted the “it” bag obsession, back in 2005. You were only handbag-cool if you had a Fendi Spy Bag. The bag itself is […]

Fendi Vintage Leather Twins Tote

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

The so-called style of the Olsen’s twins has received quite a bit of press, but not always good press. The once cute-as-a-button Full House stars have transformed their looks into quite the memorable look. Very casual, very covered up, and very grandma-chic. Don’t ask me to explain it further, I just have no idea […]

Fendi Borderline Clutch

Fendi Borderline Clutch
Fendi Borderline Clutch

The shape of this clutch is one of my favorite designs; effortless, timeless, and beautiful. We spoke about three other versions of this Fendi Clutch, which got mixed reviews. Just in for spring, the Fendi Borderline Clutch gives off a roaring 20’s vibe with the fringe and the perfect pop of color with the fuchsia. The size of this bag is perfect to hold all evening essentials, 8.5″W x 7.5″H x 2″D. Last year I had two 20’s themed events to go to and this clutch would have been perfect! I could have worn my black flapper dress, little hat, long strands of beads, and the perfect pop of color. That being said this clutch is of the moment, but not perfect if you are looking for a classic. There is a diamante clasp to fasten and a press stud fastening to secure down the fold over front. Buy through NAP for $1,040.

Fendi Doctor Frame B Bag

Fendi Doctor B Bag
Fendi Doctor Frame B Bag

Ok so the whole multicolored thing is a little in your face, right? A little too much of the rainbow is going on here. And the bag is just alright. Luckily the dimensions are pretty large or else this handbag would 100% look as if it belonged on a school girl. But seeing that the style is ok, and if the rainbow colors were not so overpowering, you would be able to see that this bag is actually quite pretty. The Fendi Doctor B Bag may not be your choice when it comes to a new handbag, but their larger version has caused quite the stir around the fashion world. I have been asking for over a week about help identifying a certain Rachel Bilson handbag; it is super oversized and looks big enough for her to scoop herself up inside of it. The front on view gave nothing away, but the side view is where the bag could be identified from. The buckled bands on each side are able to adjust the bags capacity and the B buckle is a signature of the house of Fendi. So I am not dubbing this small acid or pastel multicolored bag chic, but if you check out the large one-colored version, it is a definite stunner. The top of the bag is framed and the outside leather is smooth and grained. Dimensions of this small version are 16″x 10.5″x 6.5″. Buy through eLuxury for $1,840 if the multicolored version suits your style.

And before you go knocking this bag down, you can take a look for yourself at the much more subdued and elegant Fendi Frame Bag, which is indeed the larger version. Dimensions of this bag are 21″W X 11″H X 6″D, which could very likely be the exact bag Rachel Bilson has been seen carrying, considering the fact that she is like a pint-sized Thumbelina. Rachel’s version is the color Mud but there is also a light grey version available. This is such a stunning bag from Fendi, which is not overpowering in any way other than its size. Price of the Frame Bag is $1,680 via Saks, which means you are getting more bag for your buck (and really, I can not see many people loving the multicolored version).

Fendi Artist Baguette

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Fendi Artist Baguette
Fendi Artist Baguette

This is the handbag that keeps on giving. Apparently the designers at Fendi decided they were completely out of ideas and thought it would be genius to give you a blank bag to let you scribble all over it. And there you have the Fendi Artist Baguette, the do-it-yourself handbag that allows you to paint all over the white canvas with markers. Markers? Not even chic paints? No, of course not paints, not any material that would give an artist a way to possibly design a better bag than Fendi could come up with themselves. You know, I like this idea. The idea is great for the family that has so much money little Suzie would love to color on a designer purse for her 5th birthday. I got a coloring book for my 5th birthday, but little Suzie, the heiress to the post-it dynasty, would love a blank Fendi bag. I find it humorous that Fendi credits their success to three main factors- creativity, technology, and craftsmanship. Creativity, really? Oh ok I did not realize this blank white bag with markers is a creative idea. The only person left to be creative is the buyer, who already has to front over a thousand dollars for this bag. But this idea could be loved by our artistic-minded handbag lovers out there. The important thing is that I do not get one of these bags myself. The artistic gene skipped a generation when it comes to hands-on-arts-and-crafts, so unless I want to look like I am stuck in the 1st grade, I better steer clear of this handbag. Pre-order through Neiman Marcus for $1,300.

Fendi Patent Leather B Bag

Fendi Patent Leather B Bag
Fendi Patent Leather B Bag

The Fendi B Bag is nothing new to the scene. In fact, this bag was a big hit when it arrived, and now is released in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and materials. Good for those that love it, the bag often gets marked down later on in the season if the combination was not a smashing hit. What about a pastel turquoise color? The Fendi Patent Leather B Bag has been released in a shade of blue which is the color of the sky with a pastel punch. While blue is a popular color, this specific shade is very Easter-esque. But this hue looks great with the brass chain handles offsetting it. The oversized buckles on the front and signature F detailing on the brass buckle prong are actually a plus. I am just not sold on this bag and color combination. The only positive for me is that the color blue is also an appetite suppressant. So if you take this out for lunches and dinners, your munchies may disappear (you never know!). $1,860 through Net A Porter.
